EJC Show and Shine

My local club, Edmonton Jeep Club held a kickass show and shine last weekend. We had about 100 jeeps (just my rough guess) show up to either show off their rigs and compete, or just park it and watch the competitors. We had a few trophies made up, and had a contest for best trail rig in a few different tire size classes, and also one for best street rig. Hey it’s not my thing, but you can’t leave out the guys that don’t offroad I guess. :) The judging was based around your modifications, lift, recovery gear, etc. We also had an RTI ramp that Craig (jeepfusion) and a few others on the site built at his shop the week before. All the competitors tested their rigs on the RTI ramp, and that was calculated into their points as well.

My brother Travis (imbezol) entered his rig into the competition into the 31″ and under class and won! There really isn’t many other rigs in town that I have seen that have as much done to their rigs without a lift, so I think it was kind of a landslide victory for him.. I wasn’t involved with the judging, so who knows? Congratulations bro! You can view some recent driveway shots of his rig here, and hopefully I can get some photos from the many photog’s at the event. I’ll post an update to this article when I do.

I was only able to make it out for a bit because of work, but I would like to extend my thanks to all the organizers, planners, volunteers, competitors, attendees, and Bo Diddly’s. Bo’s was nice enough to let us use their large parking lot for the event. It was a real good time, the burgers were amazing, and it was a lot of fun. Hopefully this will be an annual event!
